CDM Cancer Fund

Do you know of a family or individual facing financial hardships because of overwhelming medical expenses?  If so, please submit their name and contact information (with their permission) to the CDM Cancer Fund.

While the CDM Cancer Fund primarily provides financial assistance to individuals battling cancer, we do not limit our assistance to that.  Depending on available funds at the time of the request, the CDM Cancer fund occasionally is able to provide assistance to individuals/families facing financial hardship due to other unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances. 

Some examples are as follows:

• Helped an infant boy repair a congenital heart defect.

• Provided a Visa gift card to local family to buy necessary  short-term survival items after a house fire. 

• Paid ER bills for child with respiratory/allergy condition; child frequents ER on regular basis and mother is a single parent with one income.

TO PAY MEDICAL BILLS:

The CDM Cancer Fund prefers to pay medical bills directly to the medical institution.  A copy of the bill can be mailed or emailed to the fund.  A letter containing the individual's full name, DOB, SS#, and contact info is also required.  Some verbiage explaining the individual's circumstance and/or a doctor's note is also preferable, but not required.

TO PAY HOUSEHOLD BILLS:

The CDM Cancer Fund will also pay household-related bills, such as rent payments, house notes, phone bills, insurance bills, etc.  In these cases, all of the information listed above is still required, but a letter of proof of medical condition, signed by the doctor on official letter head, is required.

The CDM Cancer Fund WILL NOT write any personal checks to the requestors, nor can the fund provide reimbursements to the requesting individuals for bills that have already been paid.
